"I think you are offering a great program. When I started looking for something for Sonya I wanted a program that would keep her engaged and give her a setting in which to develop socially. The program has exceeded my expectations. As I mentioned in the registration form, Sonya talks a lot about school, you and Nancy and her friends. I feel the activities you provide are really stimulating for her. She is proud of the 'work' she does with you. I love to see that the kids get to do the messy stuff in class - paint and rice everywhere! Freedom to explore in her own way yet structure to guide her along. A perfect balance.

The biggest thing I have noticed is that she is becoming more sociable. She has always struggled in new situations or with new people. She can be a bit bossy and aggressive and would easily dissolve into tears (said as only the Mother who loves her more than life can!). I really feel attending Zooligans has helped her deal with that in a positive way.

I love that I feel I could ring you and chat about Sonya and school at any time. I also love that you keep a journal entry for each day of class. Actually, Chris (my husband) has really liked reading that. It gives him a window into what she is doing. Actually, the communication has been a really strong point. Sending your child to a class situation (without you there) for the first time is incredibly stressful for both the child and the parent. You eased that transition greatly for us by being available, and willing, to talk about it and by providing guidance but letting us make our own decision."

Tracy Lees, Australia (Sonya, Age 3)

"Zooligans is a warm place to be, we feel the importance given to human relations, either between child-adult, but also between adults. Edouard is learning while playing with friends and he enjoys the variety of activities every week. Creativity and imagination have an important place in the activities schedule. The daily feedback helps us to be aware of the progress of Edouard. And most of all; Edouard is always looking forward for the next session!"

Fanie Rioux...French/Canadian (Edouard, Age 3)

"I heard of Zooligans from my friend who has sent her daughter there, and thinks it is quiet good. At that time I was looking for a school as Yuanbao's transition from home to kindergarten. Then we go.

Yuanbao had happy days in Zooligans for sure. Every time I picked her up, she would like to play more time before go back home. I believe she learned a lot from playing. Once she was shy, but at Zooligans she learned how to make friends. She can share toys, books with other kids. She is willing to express herself confidently. I saw the improvement of her personality during her stay at Zooligans. Also Nicole is an expert to be consulted with, when I had any problem with my child, I can always get some advice from her. Today is Yuanbao's first day at local kindergarten, she seems to be more adaptable. Her life in Zooligans helps a lot. Thanks!"

Yuki Lee....Chinese (Yuanbao, 3)

"From Jay's first day at Zooligans he has always been excited about going to school. Now I have trouble getting him to come home at the end of the session, and he is asking to go extra days too. It has been exciting to watch him blossom during his year at Zooligans, making new friends and try new tasks. The staff are affectionate and caring, and guide the children positively through any issues that may arise. I love that at the end of each session the children all run to give each teacher a hug before they leave.

Nicole is incredibly nurturing to the children, encouraging the same from her staff. She is always on hand to discuss any issues or feedback, and the "logs" she keeps for each child about their daily activities is a very special way to keep up with what is going on.

We are very sad to be leaving Zooligans this year, due to our departure from Shanghai. I wish our older sons had been able to enjoy the same experience Jay has, and I think I will be hard pressed to find somewhere as special as Zooligans for Jay once we move.

Thank you Zooligans for giving Jay such a positive start to school life, it has been a very special time for both Jay, and myself."

Kirsten Cleland... New Zealand (Jay, Age 3)
